ENERGY STAR qualified CFL bulbs use about 75 percent less energy than standard incandescent bulbs and last up to 10 times longer. You can save about $30 or more in electricity costs over each bulb's lifetime.

The Missouri Energy Center, six Missouri utilities and 45 retailers are participating in the 2008 ENERGY STAR "Change A Light, Change The World" initiative, coordinated in Missouri by the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance in partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Energy’s national campaign.

From Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2008 the Missouri retail outlets listed below are offering in-store $2 instant rebates on ENERGY STAR qualified compact fluorescent bulb (CFL) purchases, while supplies last. With the instant rebates, the CFLs sell for as little as 99 cents at select retail locations.
