Underground Storage Tank Inspections

The Petroleum Storage Tank Insurance Fund and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources now have a joint contract inspection program!  Currently, the approved inspection contractor for conducting inspections is Rounds and Associates.  Their inspection manager is Brian Weigert.

The new inspection program will meet the inspection cycle requirements outlined in the 2005 Energy Policy Act that stipulates all facilities, regardless of financial responsibility mechanism, must be inspected every three years.  The new inspection program will include the contract inspections, as well as department conducted inspections.

Prior to a Rounds and Associates inspection, the facility will receive a notification letter.  For non- Petroleum Storage Tank Insurance Fund insured facilities, this notification will include a Records Request form (9/07) 22.4KB PDF.  These records must be submitted to the department's Tanks Compliance and Enforcement Unit.  For records submittal, or if you have any questions we may be contacted as follows:
