ON PROPOSED AIR PERMIT
FOR AMERICAN ENERGY PRODUCERS INC.

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, DEC. 21, 2007 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is inviting the public to review and offer written comments on a proposed construction air permit for American Energy Producers Inc. in Carroll County.

The permit enables construction of a new biodiesel production facility with an annual production capacity of 60 million gallons. The plant will also include a 100,000 bushels per day soybean oil extraction plant and associated equipment. The department will accept public comments on the equipment associated with the biodiesel plant. 

The department will accept public comments on the soybean oil extraction facility at a later date.

The Department of Natural Resources has reviewed the construction air permit application, also known as a Prevention of Significant Deterioration application, from American Energy Producers Inc. The department's preliminary determination is to approve the application with conditions.

The Department of Natural Resources has scheduled a public hearing for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, in the basement of the Farm Bureau, 111 N. Mason St., Carrollton.

Interested parties must request in advance to speak at the public hearing.  If the department does not receive requests to speak by noon, Wednesday, Jan. 16, the department will cancel the hearing.  Interested parties may also submit written comments to the department regarding any relevant information, materials and views in support of or in opposition to the proposed construction.

Both requests to speak at the hearing and written comments should be sent to James L. Kavanaugh, Department of Natural Resources, P.O. All written comments must be received by 5 p.m. on Thursday,
Jan. 17. Written comments and oral public hearing testimony are treated with equal consideration.
