FISHER CAVE WILDERNESS TOUR IS JULY 19

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., JULY 3, 2008 -- Meramec State Park is giving visitors a unique opportunity to explore beyond the normal tour of Fisher Cave. The Fisher Cave Wilderness Tour is Saturday,
July 19.  Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, this special cave tour begins at 10 a.m. and last until approximately 2 p.m.

This adventurous spelunking trip will consist of semi-strenuous crawling and walking through clay-filled passages. Each participant must be at least 11 years old and come equipped with a hard hat and three independent sources of light. A parent or guardian must accompany individuals under the age of 18. Admission for the tour is $6 for adults, $5 for ages 13 to 19 and $4 for ages 11 and 12. 

This trip has a limited number of openings, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations can be made by calling Erik Otto at 573-468-8155.
